Wagging tails
A wag usually means excitement, but not always happy. Look at the whole body — a stiff body with a high wag can mean "back off".

Play bow
When a dog stretches their front legs and lifts their bottom, they are saying "Let's play!"
👃
Super nose
A dog's sense of smell is many thousands of times stronger than ours. Some dogs help people by sniffing out things like lost people.

Yawns and licks
Dogs can yawn or lick their lips when they feel worried or unsure, not just when they are sleepy.

Nose prints
Every dog's nose has its own pattern, a bit like a human fingerprint.
